Representatives of 15 organizations from 11 Latin American countries, dedicated to the prevention and fight of fires, formed a common front to fight against them in industries, businesses, large buildings, hotels, hospitals and public facilities where there is a large concentration of people.

The mission is to transform the way of facing the problems generated by fires in the region, to do so they will make Fire Protection Systems an issue of great relevance from a social, technical and regulatory point of view.

NFPA fire protectionThis initiative was announced in Boston, United States, during the NFPA Fire Expo & Conference.

This was reported by Alliance Specialized Systems, a Mexican company that participated in the NFPA Fire Expo & Conference, where representatives of the LATAM PCI Network (Latin American Fire Protection Network) and IFSA (International Fire Suppression Alliance) met.

In 2019, LATAM PCI was born as a network of associations, in which Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Panama and the Dominican Republic participate, representing 15 institutions.

Fire protection associations, engineers, global manufacturers, universities, institutes and fire departments participate in the network, which year after year seek to strengthen an institution that regulates the fire industry in Mexico and Latin America.

Carlos Morett, president of Alliance Specialized Systems, mentioned that “the companies in charge of fire systems cannot make a mistake, since we protect the most valuable thing, which is people's lives, their properties and the emergence of businesses.”

In a statement, the company mentioned that it has the largest number of certified Engineers in its field, and that it is “characterized by covering standards and certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 Certificate No. 46601 and LAPEM from CFE throughout the entire process.”
