This system discharges a cloud of nebulized water, formed by microdroplets of water that saturate the environment with humidity, which when evaporated absorb a large amount of heat and as a consequence a drastic decrease in the temperature of the environment is achieved, thereby avoiding the spread of the fire and at the same time dampens and smothers the flames on the surface of the fire.
It uses about 7 to 10 times less water than traditional automatic fire sprinkler systems, minimizing collateral fire mitigation damage caused by spilled water, plus more of it evaporates.
